Does anyone know where I can find something in writing that states firefighters working for federal fire departments at federal facilities must be federal employees, and not contactors???

Ok, Old Man, lets think about this one for a second. Do you have contractors on what ever base you work at? Of course you do!!
That means that if the government so wished, they can contract out firefighter jobs too!! Yay!!!
There is something called a "moratorium" that says the gov. cant contract out firefighters AT THIS TIME.
But the government, especially the navy, no, especially CNI can do what ever they think is in the best interest of the navy.
Realisticly, a contractor would probably end up costing the government more than they are allready forking out for us now.
Until you start hearing company names like Haliburton and Wackenhut floating around the firehouse, you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

Thanks, but you're way off......
I'm a USG AHJ. I'm trying to find out how a certain undisclosed classified facility can contract out it's fire suppression. I don't believe they can, and I'm trying to find ammunition (in writing) that prevents them from doing this..... Essentially so I can create more jobs for your guys......
