Where do I begin.....
As a past member of that area I know what those guys go through day in and day out. I would say at the top of that list is lack of respect followed by mis management aka one sided type management. Also many of the firefighters preform way too far out of the definition of firefighter-emt. Many preform command functions, public education, tech rescue, preplans, admin work and so fourth. Lets not forget about the lack of solidarity for across the board bennys and salary!

It will with out a doubt be a hard road due jealousy, ignorance, and assholes like you pal! Most of those brothers up there could run circles around you and most others! Good luck local 4417! Build a strong union!

So your saying that “public education” “ tech rescue” and “pre plans” are not a firefighters job? Any job has a certain amount of “admin work” associated with it. And any firefighter has to assume some type of command function once in a while. Shit, people coming out of the academy down here come out thinking they are the fricken Fire Chief already.

As for a strong union, i was under the impression that the IAFF does not support those that volunteer. It is pretty bad when from what i hear their el presidente is a deputy cheif at a nearby local. that goes for some of their other members as well. news does reach across the atlantic yeah know. aren't they also sponsored by some local in Alabama? Does no one else want them? Not sure of all the facts i just heard about this whole issue today. maybe the IAAD will take them AD=Ambo Drivers.

I guess you consider yourself exempt from your own opinion on this one, huh? You talk down on the brothers from 4417 but point out how Jr shouldn't do it? At least Jr has the balls to post his name, why not fill out the **s in your local #. Jr's standing in Local 2000 is just fine. There was no bashing of anyone until Tony Montano wanted to start a pi$$ing contest but didnt have the nuts to sign his post. But it was a good try sending this to my work, they thought it was funny. Another reason why these websites are the fire depts worst enemy because of the knuckleheads that like to stir the pot. Those that know...know. The group of 11 know where i stand.
