Let me try to "un-confuse" you. I am wondering why, with all the firefighters in New London County no one has been posting anything on here. The Windham area forums and general forums have had some pretty good stuff on it. I was just wondering where everyone was. Since I grew up and lived most of my life in NL County and still have contacts there- I know stuff happens! Does this help?

something to think about, my freind IF by chance you portray yourself this way that you wrote this...line.... because ts not a sentance or even a statement (above) , Its unlikely
that the certs will ever be the ones "you have"... I am NOT bashing you or dissing
you , but its in part true, you are hww you speak,, act like you ve no education at all, and you'll get no where.. hopefully if you ever have a chance to interview for a job, You wont wear ripped up jeans and ather biker jacket unshaven with hair down to yourazz...

Please allow me to redefine my point...The days of getting hired easily are are over...
and actually have been for a long time...when you go In for an application, t manner in which you present yourself..has a little to do with your chances of getting anywhere... If you prest yourself as a fairly well educated person, with the credentials then you stand as muc of a chance as the other 3,000 applicants... when you portray your self as an idiot your chances are lessened and the applicant who
happened to wear a suit to the interview might just walk away with that job, just because he is showing the interviewer that while he might be no better off then you are, He at least is serious enough about wanting that job to buff up to better inpress the interviewers... same thing holds true of How you present yourself in the manner of speach... IF you sound like some Ghetto talking yo yo yo rap chatter, even interviewing for a place that the population speaks in that manner, you will be expeced to be able to speak in excellant english as well, and maybe even other languages as well...I know that in my city, on any given run, we stand a good chance of interacting with people who speak various dialects of Spanish, Polish, Arabic, French, Russian, laotian, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Portuguese, etc often the English that we use has to be as clear and consise as possible to get anything back at all , even from the interpetors which are often the children of these non english speaking adults.... while this might not be AS prevelant in NL county at the mmment, many of these people Do frequent the casinos abd travel to and from them, large populations of Asian-Americans travel 95 via bus every day to and from the casinos to the City and NJ.. so in that respect, you as an applicant need to be a straight forward and serious abot how you present yourself as a memeber of the tribal or municipal department hopefully, theat will make it easier to understand...
