WOW. This is the first time, in a long time that I have heard a department BITCH about having too many members respond to a medical call. Yes, 5 members are too much on a bus, but ALL of you are to blame. Who Dictates department policy, Seat belts means seats. Riding with out one means breaking the law. Yes, I know we all hate, most laws that restrict us. But, it’s the one that makes us or breaks us. You non-EMS members should be happy that you have that many interested in a medical call. Maybe you should get a case vehicle?

With this in mind....... Can we please restore Station 16's reputation on this website. I am one of the members at 16, and I am happy to be in this dept.

I think we have seen in the past couple of days that even though we pick on each other quite often, when it counts...... We are there for the call, WITH MUCH RESPECT!!

But let me tell you something, I can teach some of you the best damn stuff you never knew about in this service(do not ask me how to pump a truck just yet, I almost have that down) I am just there to help out as much as I can, teach the younger guys, just as everyone else. Some do more, some do less, some do none at all.... you know who you are !!

No I am not a super hero, nor am I a know it all..... Because if you think you know it all in this service, then it is your time to depart this type of service.....

Can we just stop with the new names, and have our fun on this !! Like adults....And have a little respect for others, even if you disagree and you know who they are behind the screen name, respect them, I mean hell, they could be on your back up line saving your ASS :rolleyes:

it's not about what I think, it's about how your along with a few other's posts are starting to reflect poorly on our department. And specifically to your posts, experience doesn't come from living with a guy that's got a ton of it, it comes from doing yourself, and so far, you haven't seen anything yet, however, you talk like you're a 20 year vet ready to hang up his gear and polish the front bumper with his ass. Hell, I'm not saying I've got a ton of experience in this trade either, but I will say this...when you put our organization down, it goes against all of those who have dedicated their time and energy, their blood, sweat, and tears, into making 16 a great department.

Yes, there was a letter sent to the Board of Directors concerning my posts on this board. The post that was most refered to was when I said "The Scotland Volunteer Fire Department is not responsible for out of town bred whackers who think they know more than everyone else..." I am sorry that the individual who wrote the letter misunderstood my comment. The comment was not intended to offend, more to joke with a fellow member. I misunderstood the individual's sense of humor, and I, in the future, will consider that some people are simply more sensitive than others. I, however, do feel that there is an issue with some members who were previously members of other departments not adapting to 16's SOG/Policies. Perhaps this is a management issue that should be further addressed.

One of the negative effects of this complaint is the influx of new TWD screennames who simply do not grasp the unwritten yet understood agreement between the original group of 16 guys on here, which was that this was only for fun, to pick and vent on each other a bit, and laugh it all off, and go have a beer at Brom's on a Monday night with LtDad leading the way. Hell, most of these new screennames can't even drink, and a few can't hold their liquor past their first light beer.

Let me end with one final statement. Scotland is a great department, Hampton's a great department, Canterbury's a great department, UCONN and MTFD are great alarm resetting departments, and Jackas93's still the biggest asshole I've ever met. Amen.
