Can someone tell me what this Tower is doing?

Step #1: Providing a 15 foot in the air and way off to the side size up of conditions.

Step #2: Setting up for picture taking. ;)

Seems to me they are taking way too long if they were ever going to use it. They've already started bailing water through the windows.

Looks like maybe they were going to use the master stream for a knockdown, and had some type of problem with the flow to the tower? Other than that....WTF??

Possible final blitz resort if it completely broke through?

Or a water barrier from the garage, or house next door?? (in the left of the picture.

Just gotta watch the entrance lines directly to the left of the bucket.

Looks like another company with a tower that doesn’t know what to do with it!

Aerial Shots for their Website maybe? Checking the Power Lines that appear to be above the side crews heads? Attempting to remove Tree Branches?

In reality, not sure, but if they are trying to provide coverage for the ground crews, it seems they might have run into a problem such as low water supply as Deputy135 previously stated or maybe even realizing the Tree was in their way?

Showing others the "In correct ways" of using a Truck during FireGrounds Ops.

Not truely sure myself though, other than Very bad placement. (I beleive this was in Firehouse.com not too along either)

Looks to me that the camera person took the picture before the FF on the truck was ready to say CHEESE! Just for looks in the news

Why don't the guys with the line go in the door and put the fire out?

I don't see why they are spraying the side of the building and not the mass of the fire? Can anyone answer me that they must be the new crew? I dont jump to conclusions but I would be at the front door whether it is a defensive attack on the fire or not because all they are doing is pushing the smoke back! Way to utilize that water boys!

It is an elevated command post. They are expecting more snow and the OIC is wearing penny loafers!
