3000 Degrees: The True Story of a Deadly Fire and the Men Who Fought It

This is the story of the FF's from Worcester, Mass. and the warehouse fire they lost their lives in.
Amazon.com has it! I couldn't put it down!

It will make you look at a popular manufacture of fire department radios in a new light.
I strongly recommend;
RADIO SILENCE FDNY by John Joyce

Two suggestions from myself:
Firehouse by David Halberstam
(A good book to read about 9-11)
Another good one is,
Brotherhood by Frank McCourt also listed on the front is Rudolph W. Guiliani MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK and Thomas Von Essen COMMISSIONER, FIRE DEPARTMENT, CITY OF NEW YORK
(This book is a huge book filled with pictures from 9-11 and some pages of written material about 9-11. The price marked on this book is $29.95 but I bought it at a discount store so it cost me I think like $15.00 or something. Very Nice Keepsake!

One of the better books I've read in recent years about the history of FDNY.
So Others Might Live, by Terry Golway (2002).

And another,
Even if your not Irish, very well written. Great bunch of guys who play the pipes and drums for FDNY's Emerald Society Bagpipe Band. And their sorrow in loosing one of their own, (9/11).
Bagpipe Brothers, by Kerry Sheridan (2004)
