Recruiting, who's done it?

It's the time in the cycle to hit the recruiting trail for my vollie department

We are taking a multi pronged approach - postcards, bill boards, a recruitng day at the station

who has been through this lately on a vollie basis, and what has worked for you?

Word of mouth works fairly good. Inviting a perspective member down to the Dept for the evening, showing them around, explaining the process & so forth. Generally after a few trips to the Station, the app was placed, background checks done, voted on & a new member was in.

Its a more "direct" approach -vs- postcards or flyers, at least in my opinion.It's the time in the cycle to hit the recruiting trail for my vollie department
