I am looking for some quotes that truly define the emergency services; not just firefighters, but paramedics and law enforcement officers too. I am workiing on writing a speech and would like to include a quote in with it. Please let me know if you know of a quote that really defines and gives a good understanding of what the emergency services do... This speech will be given to students, community members and emergency service personnel, I would like it to make a huge impact on the students who "could care less" about the local people who help them. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. The speech will be given when recgonizing local emergency service personnel.

I have two pretty good quotes that may help you.

The first one is this.
