Ok we've had a thread on Best make of Brush Trucks. We've all heard Ford, Chevy, Dodge etc... Now once you made your choice of truck, then what????

Im looking to see :
(1) what type of Truck(s) your using? (A) Make? (B) Model? (C) Standard cab/X-cab, Crew cab?
(2) What size tank?
(3) What kind of pump (A)Make/Type? (B) GPM?
(4) Does your have a booster reel, Or Forestry line in a cross lay?
(5) What other kind of hose does yours carry (1 1/2, 1 3/4, Supply line, Hard sleeve, Other forestry line not connected)
(6) What other equipment is carried other then (Brush Rakes, Axe, Shovels, Chainsaw)
(7) Does anyone carry foam or have a foam tank on their unit?
(8) Is anyone out there using one of the newer Brush/Wildland/MiniPumpers that all the apparatus makers have come out with? If so lets hear about them to, (A) Who made it? (B) what Model? (C) What extras does it have?

Lets see what everyone is running out there, How its working out for them, and let share some info to help out others. You might see something you thought about for your unit, or something that might be a good idea for yours.

Take care, STAY SAFE

1978 GMC K25 4x4 (purchased from a local muny as a drug raid confiscation for $10)
200 gallon Darley pump/tank skid unit 18 hp 350 gpm pump. Wish it was a pressure instead of volume pump

4 backpack spray pumps
flappers
rakes
shovels
Suction hose
dry hydrant adapter
1" hose reel
2 garden hose lines

want to replace it soon

We also have a ford 800 with front mount pump that goes off road quite a bit. The front mount can pump and roll, and we can put nozzles on the front outlets. It has a 1-1/2 front preconnect and two 1" booster reels, plus enough supply hose to rate it as an engine and 1500 gallon tank.
