Just looking for somemore feedback. How is the service on your fire and rescue apparatus in your area? If it is good; what are some things that make the service good? If it is bad; what are some of the things that make the service bad?

Within my neck of the NW Pa Woods, We have just about every piece of Fire/Rescue Apparatus needed. Communications between ALL FD/Ems Services (Mutual Aid) is very decent. My only complaint is with our County 911 Center. They are awesome Dispatchers, they get as much info as needed, prior to & while dispatching a call, however, they true (& only) complaint I have is simply 1-2 minutes in the intial dispatch the County 911 will as FD/Ems base for radio acknowledgement. This happens right after someone ( a Line Officer) will radio in to acknowledge the call & whether they are heading to the scene or station. Other than that, Everything seems to work very decent amongest the Depts & County 911 Center.Just looking for somemore feedback. How is the service on your fire and rescue apparatus in your area? I think I got your question right? Our service in this area could be a lot better. We use Duq. Lights shop. They do a good job but there prices are nuts and they only seem to do exactly what you ask for. We tried the new local Pierce dealer and they're terrible. Having worked for the old Pierce dealer I may be a little biased. Our department has talked about replacing our 1988 Ariel Cat Tower with a Pierce but we don't want to deal with Glick at all. So we are kind of stuck here in Pittsburgh with service. Not to many options now that this is Glicks area. Oh well what can you do. You would think that a county this size would have a municipal shop for all public safety vehicles.

We deal with the Supthen dealer's service company in NJ (we run two Sutphen engines) and my department owning many Sutphen trucks, I can't complain about anything.
