about us here in Central or anywhere else.
All they care about is A.A. Co..
Have you all seen the new webpage the Union has, if not, the address is
www.iaff121.org
Take a look at it, the other day they put condolences up for the past president of local F-16, now it mentions how TS-46 responded to the fire on Main St. in Annapolis.
But nothing abt. our members here at NDW and PAX losing loved ones.
Were spending our hard earned money on dues, that they could care less about.
Well "Poore" what are you going to do about it. I see your picture is on "OUR" webpage.
Why not something about our Brothers losses, what they don't rate a couple of lines on "THEIR WEBPAGE".

IAFF Local F-121 UNFAIR TO OUTLAYING DIVISION MEMBERS.
ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS WHAT HAPPENS AT ANNAPOLIS NAVAL ACADEMY

One of the oldest methods to win over an opponent is to divide them and until they become weak. They have tried many times to do this to us without success. They do not care who they hurt or what the cost is, as long as they acheive their personal objective. We all know who they are! They are not out to better the Department nor do they care about the members as long as they acheive their personal goals! For some reason it is always about them. We can always agree to disagree but we cannot afford to let THEM divide us. As a strong United Membership WE have acheived great things and by sticking together and we are stronger than ever because of that.
Your game never changes, the glass is always half empty. It is a shame you can't channel all of you negative energy into something positive.

TWR21TECHY - I know who you are and I respect you. But really, what has the new Union Leadership done for us as a whole. In all actuality, what has the Union done for us (Federal Firefighters) since it's conception.
We pay dues every payday so we can put an IAFF Sticker in the back widow of our P.O.V..
Hey, I see more non-Union Members displaying the IAFF Union sticker then Union Members.

Come on man, at least give them a chance. Hell, we gave our F260 President a few years and look where we were. Poore came here and said what he was going to do and he has done that. And by the way, if you don't want him to be the President throw your name out there and run against him.
He said at one of the union meetings that there will be an election sometime in the near future, i think the bylaws say when.
But at least give the guy a chance.

If you would like to know what the IAFF has done try taking a look at the Internationals website and look and see for your self. I do believe a large some of money that was lobbied for went towards Equipment that went to the region,, ohhh MY NOT the NAVAL Academy These guys have put a lot of time and effort into the new merger and here you are sittin on your ass not doing a thing but trying to lay fault and blame. Im not sure but we are tired of hearing you whine and cry and complain. I think you stated it in an earlier post what has the uniond done for me/us, sure its all about you. these guys are putting everyone in this local before them selves. What do you have to offer that every other dues paying member doesn't? take a walk in the shoes of these guys, I am sure they have taken a lot of pride in what they are doing if not making it a personal endevor. What have you done for your local today aside from professing that you are a scab and your volunteer department means more to you than the union. So do everyone a favor and find something constructive to do with that crappy attitude.

Hey Bud,
Your are making a fool of yourself. You can count days until the cows come home, if it were me I wouldn't buckle to your kind of intimidation or whinning.
If you really truly care call the leaders and discuss your concerns. Otherwise, go away quietly. You're making all of us a NDW look bad to everyone that visits the watchdesk.
See you on the Tower!

Hey Bud,
Now what do have to say... Just looked at the IAFF121 site and they have the rescue that Carderock handled today, with pictures (that is more than the Annapolis post)
Guess they are people of their word... Like I said, give them a chance!
See you on the Tower

Well hooray, I'm happy they are acknowledging the "ROCK", those Guy's deserve it.
They made a Hell of a Rescue. "Job Well Done"
But TWR21TECHY - Your statement "You can count days until the cows come home" what's up with that, it makes no sense.
P.S.
I still don't think you work at Co. #1 on the Tower, you sound like one of the "Academy Boys" to me.

Out side you are only causing hate and discontent. move on like most of the department has. the days of academy boys and NDW boys, and pax boys is long gone, we are in this all together and the sooner we get everyone on the same page here a lot better off we will be. stop and think and look back at how you attacked people on here. what would you expect in return from them? I attended the xmas shift party last year. and hope to try to make it again this year. thats the best part of this we have more minds and more ideas to utilize. don't try to keep the divisions of the old days, get with the times and move into the NEW age. or you can stand still and the progressive train is going to run right over you and you will be stuck with your close minded ways. Jump on board make a difference not problems.
Great job guys at the ROCK,, will be expecting a round bought by the guy with the pic in the paper

No I'm not paranoid, I have no suspicions, doubts or worries of anything or any kind, but Thank You for being so concerned.
Matter of fact, I feel great knowing my money is not being wasted anymore on union Dues.

I have been reading these posts for several weeks now and I think that there needs to be some clarification as to the facts. An election was held to determine who would represent the Fire Fighters in NDW. IAFF won that election. We can argue to hell freezes over whether it should have happened or not but it did. I am a member of AFGE and worked to secure a victory but was not successful. I suppose I could find many reasons why we lost. Lack of support, not enough AFGE members voting, unfair denial of the right to meet with competing members and so on. But the fact is the majority voted for IAFF. Now we are faced with two issues. Do we continue to rehash history or do we move forward. Do we continue to criticize the elected officers or do we finally decide that its time to put differences aside and work together. In any Union there will always be someone who won't join but will gladly accept any benefit the Unions get for them. They will always criticize and find fault. Usually though they sometimes find themselves in trouble and since as dues paying members we have certain rights they don't, like the right to be represented in arbitration and OWCP, MSPB they quickly see the light and join.
One person said on the post that the Unions don't do anything for them and that the Union movement has been dying off for many years. The fact is there has been an increase in Government Union growth over the past couple of years. As far as what has been done there are two issues out of many that have occured. IAFF and AFGE both worked to secure a moritorium on Contracting that has stayed in effect even throughout this hostile environment in D.C.. The second issue was the pay bill that all the DOD Fire Fighters benefited from. For those of you who remember this, it was a tremendous battle that went on for many years. It happened because of the Federal Unions working together. Now, I don't know the President of your Union but I do know what it's like to be a President. For me it was a rewarding experience but came at a very high price. I knew I would never be considered for promotion but served for many years. And Management didn't disappoint me.
For the ones who criticize and the ones who are considering getting out of the Union remember this. The Chief's of your Department would love nothing more than to have you get out because the more members who will quit the Union will make their positions stronger. They will see and react. Trust me because I've seen it happen. To those who were affiliated with AFGE I can only say that the time is now. The time is now for you to get behind IAFF and the Leadership of the Local. If you or any member is unhappy then get involved. Work with the Leaders not against them. They are not the enemy. And in case you are wondering no one asked me to write this, I did it on my own because there is an old saying that "UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE beg". Please remember that you are an elite organization and only those who are willing to put their lives on the line are eligible to belong.

History seems to be repeating itself again, one only has to look at the history of unions with ndwfd. In the 60's ndw was represented by another local and finally got a local of its own, due to not being properly represented by the other local. Fred S was the IAFF rep at the time. He then broke away??? from Iaff and started FFA which went werever???. NDW then went back to the IAFF, but has suffered from the same orginal problems. Lack of membership etc. I know as I have sat on both sides of the table.
