"IAFF F-121 UNFAIR TO AREA BROTHERS AND SISTERS"

F-121 Only cares about what happens in A.A. Co. and at the Annapolis Naval Academy

Dosen't care about the other Divisions and their Union Membership.

Hey Poore, the Local belongs to all of us, not just a choosen few.

Outsider,

Just to bring you up to speed, we here in annapolis have recently experienced some deaths in our families and serious illness which have not been posted on the new website. As a matter of fact we had a firefighter seriously injured (possibly crippling) during an training evoulution which wasn't posted either. The firefighter appears to be doing better, after recieving emergency surgery to replace shattered bones in his leg with steel plates, rods, and screws. His injury was on the 17th of November, our ambulance transported him home on Thanksgiving night. We are told he will be off for at least 6 to 8 months, and don't know if he will be coming back.

I know that an notification email was sent out to all union members concerning the passing of family members that you are referring to prior to the new web site placed in service. I think theres room for improvement, with that said, maybe the union could go back the past couple of weeks and list the recent deaths and injuries on the site to bring everyone up to speed, and go forth to cover everyone at this time.

stay safe,

I agree with Outsider, it's a sorry state of affairs when our so called local webpage posts abt. our leadership going to Ca. to meet with the IAFF General President, and posts abt. the death of local F-16's President, then posts abt. a fundraiser in Anne Arundel County, that dosen't help anybody but the Annapolis Gang.

But can't find a cpl. of lines in "OUR" webpage to "SUPPORT" or own members. Who ever is running this webpage better turn it over to somebody with some brains and common sense.

You guy's need to look at yourselves, Stop all the crying, its not all about USNA, look you are crying because they did'nt put something on the web site about a death of one of the members family, I know that if that happened to me I could give two shits if its on the web site. (Dame S.D. just won in O.T.) Pres Poore does not care about just USNA he works for all of us, Greg Russell may be a Asshole but he will fight for you as hard as anything you ever seen and dos'nt care where you are from, Plus I will put him up as a driver against any one in the region, You better hold on tight, Don't be a hater because USNA gets more fire than any one else in the region, So lets all work together and just sit back and let the hard working union leaders work for us, Please remember that the management team also reads this and loves when we fight with each other, And has for the Ellis family we here at USNA feel for you loss and wish you all the best of luck.

xmas - Your just as bad as the rest of them, this isn't about who's the best driver, or who catches more fire.

This is about poor leadership in the union. The so called president (poore) of our local, better be the one who okay's what goes on "OUR" webpage and if he dosen't, than he's no president. We know he's no leader.

If people want to see something on the web page there is a section to email the web masters with things they think should be on the web site. try giving that a try rather than blasting the leaders and staff. What do you want them to do fight about things behind the lines or print every story that you think is pertinent to your plight. have you thought about saying hey here is a heads up,, i know this guy personally,, here is some history about him or her and his or her family. instead you want a generic line about some ones loss,, these guys are doing everything they can do with what they have. It is very difficult starting off. give it a chance give it some time. put your imput in these guys can't know everything thats going on around this region. give me a break are you that self centered to think that its all about one group? if im not mistaken we are all under the GS-0081 series trying to get the same thing, not only regionally but country wide. chill out and let the growth run its course.

Outsider,

Your right, this isn't about whos the best driver, who catchs the most fire. I hear you loud and clear. We shouldn't judge the locals capabilities or leadership based on a web site.

"A lot of locals don't even have a web site"

If you read my previous post, we had family deaths, illness, and a serious line of duty injury in annapolis which didn't make news on the web site either. I do know that several union officers, and union members have attended viewings and funerals in the recent months in other districts, and have also made several visits to Walter Reed AMC Hospital visiting with wounded federal firefighters from the war.

Outsider, I have personally worked for several fire departments, have been represented by several different locals both city and federal, and can honestly say these guys do a good job.

If you are dissatisfied with the current lineup, and If you are a dues paying member, then I suggest you run for office, and or cast your vote come election time.

stay safe,
Get out and vote!

All it has on it is naval academy and A.A. Co. info, nothing about the other Divisions, anybody or anything else.

I know i'm not in this pissin match and don't wan't to be, but what does this mean? What does, who catches more fire, and who can drive have to do with 9-11? :D Sounds to me like a disgruntled firefighter who can't drive nothing but the utility to go get lunch for people that gets stuck on the shit box or desk watch all the time! Again i'm not trying to start anything.

P.S. Hows my boy John Grey doing?

The few of you ( uneducated individuals) who do nothing but bash others should try to get a hobby. In addition, why not try to have pride and not make ourselves look like a bunch of west virginia volunteer firefighters? If you have an issue...take it up with the powers to be and quit being such a coward. As far as the pics from the fire......DONT HATE!!!!!!!! Has anybody else ran any jobs lately?????? And does it really matter..... :( :( :( :( aawwwwwwww, so you are going to act like a first grader( let me rephrase that) a 2 year old and complain because there are not any pics from other installations on the website. Hey tirefactory -

First, You sound like one of those "Outstanding" F/F's from A.A.Co.. You know always standing outside while the building burns down, because your to affraid to go inside. I heard from a reliable source at the fire, that most of you were just getting in the way the other night on Main St.

Second, don't bring West Va. F/F's into this, I know some West Va. F/F's, that could teach you a lot about Firefighting.

Third - What's with "Has anybody else ran any jobs lately?????? " Your not a New York City Firefighter, so don't try to talk like them. Your just a puke from A.A. Co..

my comments about a W.V. ( the abbreviation for West Virginia) firehouse went right over your head.......and you OBVIOUSLY dont get it!!!

as far as me being an AACO Puke...highly unlikely........I learned from another state which uses five inch supply line rather than 2 and half inch( i believe that was a 70's concept)

In reference to the NY City firefighter....where the heck did you come up with that?????? Again....everything must go over your head and you just pull ideas out of your mouth ( i mean ass) cause you look like an incompetant fool who is just disgruntle because you are an unhappy person. However, unlike you, IM not going to reach down to your level and look like a jackass. Thus, get your facts together and then posts some topics. I believe anne arundel has thier own local......in addition why not call the union president and discuss issues that could help your brothers and sisters at your current work location? All the bashing and name calling on here contributes to a weakened/half assed fire dept. Not sure about you, but i take pride in my workplace and want it to be the best. Because of the NDW merger, we are all one dept. We should all care and take pride in all the depts regionwide. It isnt about "I" or "you", it is about "US". Give the union time, they are in a tranistion just as the NDW region and we could go on and on with issues. What positive feedback/outcomes can result from bashing on this site???
On a real serious note, WHat drastic issue is on the rise that the local 121 hasnt addressed at your current work location?? Im not talking about small items either...........

Hey union web master,, go back to the inception of F-121 and post everything that has happend,, yeah thats it, tie up all the exspensive bandwidth going back and posting news that has already happend. I am sure that everyone in this union knows about the losses that our union brothers have sustained. Let them have thier peace. the web site is new and up and coming. for some one that doesn't have any expectations from the union you sure do have a lot of demands. I would expect union busting from a scab but not from one of our own members if you are one. call for all the audits you want. wether you like it or not the proper channels were followed to spend local money according to the by laws. do we really need to go into how the union is set up? maybe you should go take a look at your union by laws that were adopted. and be prepared to make changes to them if you don't like them... thats what the meetings are for. and as for me shoving the Best Firefighter Union IAFF down your throat, im not shoving it anywhere. I am merely returining opinions,, see i can have one since im a dues paying member. If i am unhappy with some one im going to take it to them. Have you communicated with( talk , listen, return feedback ) the people you have issues with? there is always that last resort,,,,,,, the good ole fashioned DROP card. thats the great thing about AMERICA you have the choice.

Well F'd UP or should I say Pubic Defender, yeah somebody told me who you are.

Like you said before "what do you really and realistically expect from our union??? we all know we can't negotiate pay and hours, sooo lets see what some of us want to see?????"

I want nothing from this local, you can't give or do anything for me, I like you are in the Federal Fire Service.

The iaff and this local can't do anything for us, our hands are tied by OPM, DOD and Congress.

The iaff can't re-write the Code Of Federal Regulation (CFR), these are the real laws you and the rest of us in the Federal Government have to follow.

So Pubic Defender or FEDUP, which ever name your going to use, good luck, be safe.

I'm happy now, I just opened my last LES and low and behold, no money is be deducted for Dues.

But, I will be watching, and when I see an injustice perpertrated by this local, you'll be the first one to know about it.
