Can you tell me who give me my Reputation Points please I am just wondering?

my opinion on the points once again is they do nothing but cause problems.......but instead of fixing it it still goes on.....then it gets more serious.....my question to you Phantom is why not just get rid of it all together ...then alot of problems will leave with it

HOG - if you DON'T like the REP system - DON'T use it... it's actually pretty simple... Ya know how you ALWAYS say "if you don't like my post, don't read it.." Well, the same applies here buddy - DON'T USE IT...

I must say though - for someone who so adamantly and constantly bad mouths the REP system, you sure do use it A LOT... :rolleyes:

I dont like the Reputation Points just because you dont know who sent it to you. if you knew who sent them to you, you might be able to ask them why they give them to you.

One more question for you Phantom what do the Gray boxs mean. I know that the red ones are bad. the green ones are good but what does the gray ones mean?

Ok, I haven't used the rep system on anyone, but yet I have several rep points (both good and bad), because some people seems to think they must use it? All I can say is trouble is around the corner....

It seems that a few of the people who post on here want this to be their own little fantasy land. The problem presents itself in the when the offending member thinks it is appropiate to

1. Write their posts at a level that would make my 3rd grade teacher proud
2. Make threats against other people
3. Curse because they don't know any other words
4. Change or hijack threads, just becaue they don't like the person who is posting.

Effective immediately, if a complaint is received about a user we will investigate the complaint, if it is found to be a legitimate complaint, the offending party will be sent the following warning:

You have been reported for missuse of the watchdesk.

Don't send vulgar, hateful or threatening emails, pms or reputations through the watch desk.

IF you continue to do so I will suspend you and/ or release your identification information

to an extent......#1 it isn`t my fault when someone threats violence against me and my family....#2 i belive i should know who said the threat in case something would happen.......is it a fake threat?...most likely but i don`t live life hopeing something doesn`t happen........the biggest thing is #1 i hate when i got blame for someone saying the things to me about my life and my families life

This rule is being put in place to combat the exact things you are complaining about and are also guilty of. If it happens to you again or you do it again the perpetrator will be dealt with in the manner described in the rule.

READ the damn rule, comprehend it, then if you have anything intelligent to add comment on it. But for god sakes don't get on here and bitch moan about something that is being handled and has the possibilty of helping you if you don't self destruct first.

If you don't have anything constructive or nice to post, just don't post.

Trust me, just let it go for right now, Let Phantom do his job & it will be taken care of & dealt with in the proper manner phantom feels it need to be. If you get anymore, don't post in the threads, maybe this what the person(s) is wanting to see is you getting all bent & going off about it. This thread started as a question about reputation points and turned into.....well..not sure what it turnmed into.

Phantom...can you explain how the reputation points work?

If someone disagrees with your post they can indicate that and also add comments...what happens to the comments...? Do you read them all?

Second...when you click on your own post and look at reputation it says...you have XXX reputation points. What is the significance of the number... If you have 10 and someone disagrees with your post, do you lose points?

The reputation points are a way to rate other members, if you like or dislike a post you mkay add or give it reputation. The number of points you give or recieved is based on your reputation which is derived from a combination of your time asa member,your number of posts and points iven or taken by other members. Only the people that moderate the board and the member can see the reputation comments given.

Phantom i think that you should make it a rule that if someone makes a post in rep...that they sign their name....because o am tired of all the name calling ....bringing your family into this and then they don`t put their name down
