My department has decomissioned the following:
1974 Aerial Platform (Grove Ladder). The unit has failed the required annual ladder testing and is being replaced. It has recently had major motor work and transmission (5 speed) work and is in good running condition. THE AERIAL WILL NOT CERTIFY WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT WORK.
1975 Ford Chassis with a Grumman Firetruck Body. 1000 GPM pump with 500 gallon booster tank. The vehicle has had the cab stretched to add a full open jump seat. The vehicle still runs and pumps.
It may go out for auction, but we are going to ask that first we be allowed to solicit bids.
