General Question

I recently applied for a position for the DLA in New Cumberland, and I was wondering what type of apparatus and responses you guys have. I'm sure you have an Engine Company, but do you have any special services, ie. Truck Company, Heavy Rescue, Haz-Mat, ect.?
Also, do you guys run any mutual aid outside of the base?

Current Apparatus
KME Engine
KME Heavy Rescue
KME Tower Ladder
ALS transport unit
HazMat Unit

nine personnel per shift.....engine cross mans with the medic and the tower cross mans the rescue

call volume is about 700 calls.....approximately. They do have a mutual aid agreemwnt with the surrounding municipalities...however their biggest service mutual aid wise is r.i.t. with the rescue......

The way the women at HR was talking, there's openings there all the time.......Does anyone have any idea why?

it is actually a good place to work....they have a very good chief. However, the call volume is not there.....

There's not openings there all the time... and last I heard, they were looking for medics to get ALS going off-base more often... it is a good place to work though for the Federal Gov't.

One more position is open for a Medic. It is exspected that the possibility of three retires this year.
