The Warrenton-Fauquier Joint Communications Center, (Warrenton, Va.) currently has an open recruitment for entry level and lateral dispatchers. WFJCC receives E9-1-1 calls for the entire county of 63,000 people. WFJCC dispatches for 2 law enforcement agencies and 14 Fire & EMS stations. We are located in the heart Virginia horse country, 45 miles south of our Nations Capitol, minutes from the Appalachian mountains, 2 hours from the Chesapeake Bay, just a few hours from Atlantic beaches (Va., Md., N.C. & Delaware).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by college level course work or vocational training in public safety dispatching or radio communications preferred; one (1) year previous experience and/or training involving public safety dispatching or radio communications desired; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must type 35 WPM. Must successfully pass computerized entrance exam with an 80% or higher. Must successfully complete criminal history background investigation, including fingerprinting, and polygraph.

Starting salary $28,579.90, plus shift differential, scheduled overtime, on call pay, and benefits.
