View Full Version : Maryland Photo Buff Day...
Have Some Fun
03-02-2006, 05:41 PM
Some of us have tossed around the thought of some of us Marylander's to all get together and do some shooting of some sort together. We could do a lunch type of thing where we can help eachother out with tricks of the trade. We can get pro's and con's on eachothers equipment... maybe someone is looking to buy something new and one of us can help them out with what we have in our bag.
If we can get enought people we can plan for something in the spring which is coming up fast. That would be a perfect time to get out and get the dust off.
Places and photo topics can be posted here and are up for discussion!
Lets make this happen!!!
SO WHO'S IN ????????
I will be the first to say I am....

I'm definitely in.. I've thought about suggesting something like this for a while.... Maybe even renting a van so a bunch (10 or so) could go together instead of several vehicles.. then we'd just divide the cost of a van/gas by the # of people going...
I'm finishing up my "apparatus to shoot list" in the next day or two and then will be happy to make some suggestions reg. what departments/counties I'd like to visit.
Look forward to everyone's thoughts.

Here is a terrific event for fire apparatus photography:
http://www.geocities.com/pumpprimer/muster.html
Since many Maryland fire photogs go to this, maybe those who go to this can all meet up at this event.
I'm hoping to make it this year. I've never been to it before, but have heard from many others how great of an event it is. I've also seen a lot of their pictures from this event, and it looks like a fire photog's paradise to take pics at.
