Are there any FF museums in PA? We'd like to learn about some of the history of PA fire fighting after we move to PA.

Where are you moving in PA? Harrisburg and Erie both come to mind. Try the website www.firemuseumnetwork.org there is a state by state directory with contact info. Best of luck.

Pennsylvania National Fire Museum in Harrisburg
York County Fire Museum in York
Hanover Fire Museum at Wirt Park Fire Station in Hanover
There's one in Schuylkill county, possibly Pottsville, but I'm not sure of the town.
York also has the Police Heritage Museum

JennyThere is a FF Museum on Erie's West Side. A really decent museum with quite a bit of history from the Erie Area. I will try to grab the address & numbers for you.

Fireman's Hall , also known as the Philadelphia Fire Museum, is located at 147 N. 2nd Street in Olde City, between Quarry and Race Streets, next to Elfreths Alley. Call for hours, they vary depending on the time of year, I know they are closed Sun and Mon. (215) 923-1438.
Very easy to get to if you are coming from S/B I-95: Exit at the Callowhill St exit. At the bottom of the ramp, STAY STRAIGHT(You are now on 2nd st). When you get to Race Street, look to your left, you will see a small alleyway that parallels Race Street on the R/H side of Race. Make a quick left into that alleyway, and follow it around to the back of the buildings that are on 2nd St. Go about a half a block, and you will be at the back of the museum. I havn't been there in a long time, but you will see a small alleyway in between the museum and the candy company next door. You used to be able to just park in this alleyway, I dont know for sure. Call the museum and talk to Harry McGee or the on duty Philly Firefighter that is there. (Light Duty guys are detailed to the museum; Harry is the Curator and a Phila FF.)

I haven't been in Fireman's Hall in ages, but that is a beautiful museum. I'd highly recommend a visit there.

Casani Candy is a memory- the building is now loft apartments! The parking in the alley is very limited- and street parking is tough too. As a volunteer there for many years- I will give it my highest recommendation. They have made some major changes over the past 5 years and there's a few more changes in the wind. Magee is still there- and the muster came back last year and was a major sucess- it will be on Oct. 1 at the Phila. Fire Academy on State Road in the Northeast this year.
They now have a web site too- http://www.firemanshall.com/
