The Fairfax County Professional Fire & Rescue Officers Association announces the return of its "annual" professional development seminar (knocked off track last year by Katrina and Rita, and all that went with them). This year's presenters for October 5 and 6, 2006, at the Marriott-Tysons Corner include:
October 5, 2006:
Skip Coleman (Deputy Chief-Toledo) on "Street Smart Incident Management."
October 6, 2006:
Jim Smith (Deputy Chief-Philadelphia) on "Strategic & Tactical Considerations on the Fireground."
- and-
John Norman (Deputy Assistant Chief-FDNY) on "Command and Control: The Chief's Role in Structural Firefighting."
The attendance fee for this two-day event is under $200, and the link to the seminar announcement can be found at:
