Lt 46 whats up with this sh-t? Congrats and good luck? You make it sound like this guy went on his own, to the contrary he was forced to go!!!!!! You make it sound as though he truly will be missed.

He will be missed by less then a hand full of people. The individuals that he signed off on and cleared to drive/ act. The ones who should of never been cleared. The one he waved his magic wand over and said you got it!!

He didn't have much choice. To stay and be demoted to a GS-5 firefighter, or to find a place to take him and retain his officer status/ grade/ pay!!!!

Its a wonder this or him being fired didn't happen years ago about his certifigate scandal, not to mention the RIT SNAFU with the city a couple of months ago!!!

The RIT issue was downplayed by our management bigtime who passed it off as one of their captains being aggressive. In reality it demonstrated blatant recklessness by one of our own.

This reaffirms that our management felt it was OK for Monty to be a cowboy and freelance, not just with personnel but also with goverment Equipment and apparatus.

Safety of our personnel and that of other fire depts. operating on emergencies. Nope no problem here.

If assigned RIT, pull up to side "A" pull attack lines go in and get it!!!!!! RIT is for anybody but Capt. Monty and crew!!!!!

Lt 46, don't speak for the dept on missing him. Unless you were one of the chosen who were tapped with the magic wand. Those recipients are the ones we expect to see pouting.

Couldnt resist this one. So do tell who the TWO people who are trying to get to Bethesda? (BTW, there are alot more than three people trying to get out of the Academy for a number of reasons) And do tell who had the magic wand waved over them? And while we are at it, were you on the incident where they by passed the RIC assignment and did you listen to the incident if you werent there? This all sounds to me like a bunch of pansies who dont like Monty or didnt get what they wanted at some point. Looks quite familiar to when Willie left us, people who didnt get want they want start crying. If it has been said once, its been said a thousand times, dont say it on the watch desk if you cant stand up at the station and say it to everyone's face. Quit being a bunch of pansies. Well I have said my two cents worth, it will fall on deaf and dumb ears, and I will be ridiculed on here, but what will amaze me is the person will not come say ANYTHING at all to my face.

Yes TJ, We listened to the call, in fact this one incident of Montys failure to assume RIT was one of many over the years. In the past 5 years I've been on no less then 5 INCIDENTS where Monty didn't follow assignments given by the incident commander "AND WE DID OUR OWN THING." It was fun at the time to be able to do what ever you want on a fire.

Looking back, (hindsight) it was bad business on our part. But hey, we were not the Captain in charge of the engine company. We were following his orders.

FACT FACT FACT: That is what I said here. TJ is there less oxygen at the ceiling level or what man. You need to talk to more of your coworkers or the city people to get the true facts before you come on here and try to stick up for anybody that dosn't follow the rules or could care less about endangering lives.

Thank you so much firechief46 for coming on here and speaking the truth. The song is very very funny and is quite the buzz. Everyone knew it would be a matter of time before ole (PORK CHOP) got caught up in his own lies.

It's ashame that he corrupted some of the younger impressionable people here who thought what he always did was right and could always get away with it.

What happened should send a very strong message to all. If you screw up and get caught you will be held accountable for your actions.
