It's shame there are not more fire depts with websites in NL county you guys have a lot of good depts in the area

know that Norwich put guys through the last academy but I was wondering if they are planning to hire again any time soon. Anyone know what score they are up to on the list?? Thanks

I do not know what score they are up too but they are surpose to hire I think 2 more and there are a couple of people retiring soon, in the next year.

Whaler, Thanks for posting Norwich's site It was kind of nice to see how much things have changed... I havent been in town since they Built the new station..lol (yikes) and have pretty much lost a lot of contact with the county.. I took the test for Norwich I think in 1983 or 84 or 85 I dont even remember Now.. Took a job down in FFld County which is ok, too. being new to twd leaves me sorta wondering why things arent more active here? which is a shame... seems like it could be a great site if people got involved a bit... I grew up in Mystic went to St B's
so had a circle of freinds from all over Colchester to Westerly..lol as well as FD conections all over the east... Anyway .. take care

I believe they now start a GS-5

I think Norwich let one of their new guy's go last week, he was still going to CFA recruit class

Word on the street,
Subase has one opening now, will close Monday night. You must resubmit to cover your ass.
Norwich maybe hiring 3-6 soon. They may need a new list?

As stated above you never know, Many things have to fall into place for them to be picked. I hate to say it, but in the past people faild to me the reqiurements or even get thier paper work in. SO YOU NEVER KNOW..............

I see Groton and the sub base have been very busy lately. Have you heard anything about the hirings? Just wondering how I will be notified if I made the list.
I have been reading on the forums that there have been Navy base closings and I was also wondering how secure the sub base is. Any insight about that? Would it be a safe career choice?
