In November 1992, The Connecticut Firefighters Pipes and Drums Inc. was formed as a not for profit group dedicated to honoring the members of Our Fire Service, During those early years
the band was honored to play line of duty funerals, In New London, Enfield, Lakeville, Branford, Bridgeport as well as Numerous Memorial services, Masses, including the Annual Diosease of Norwich firefighters and EMS Mass, and the Bridgeport Area retired firefighters Annual Memorial Mass, Numerous former Chief officers' funerals through out much of the state... and have also represented the State's firefighters at the Vendome Hotel Collapse Memmorial In Boston, and the Public services for the Worchester 6 in both cases, being honored to march the "out of state contingent" to and from the service, as well as joining the Boston Gaelic Fire Brigade and Worchesters' Brigade bands i the private individual services....
The Band has also marched NYC and Boston as well as Stamford, Danbury, Bridgeport New Haven's and Hartford's St Patricks day parades as well as various other parades on limited basis...

The members are made up mostly of career firefighters, but we are not exclusive and remain non partisan.. practices are held "Bi weekly" between Easton's fire house and Meridan's Elks lodge every other tuesday nite... if your interested and in the area, check the band website to see the schedual...

Manchester regional police and firefighters pipe band, the New Haven County Emerald Society pipe band and the New London Firefighters Pipes and Drums are all great organizations, and all honor what we do... every day...
