Can anybody answer this question?
How much training or experience should a firefighter have before being checked off to operate a tower?

Training what the hells that. In Ltdads eye's just show up that's good enough. To some people reading the firehouse mags and the owners manual is experience. If I heard right 16 uses years, The longer the smarter or better.

no...what i think we really need to do is do a simulation like our local city's fire dept. station 1 and pretend that we are at a structure fire and start cutting down trees and branches b/c some people might not even know how to use a chainsaw especailly when there trying to vent

i agree with wacker_16, but if you were on the seagrave the knowledge would appear like magic.
