The Delhi Township Fire Department serves a population of 30,104 citizens (2000 U.S. Census) living in more than 12 square miles. The department consists of 58 active members, 20 career and 38 part-time personnel. We staff three firehouses with anywhere from nine to thirteen people per shift. These fire fighters man two engines, one quint, three ambulances, a command vehicle and two paramedic units 24 hours a day. During 2005, the Delhi Township Fire Department responded to 2,443 emergency details, of which 2,052 were medical emergencies and 391 were fire related details.
