I dont know what country you live in but the democratic process took place. It allows the BOD to go to the town admin to seek funding....which will be another democratic process....guys...the apparatus is not lost by because a couple of negative votes...we got some work to do...and if you think you saw a couple of negative votes within the membership...wait till it goes before the town....think positive....promote the purchase to family and friends.....its the only way the nayers will loose.....

Yes they did....the membership approved the deposit/purchase...and gave the right to the BOD, to approach the town admin for financing...and try and get 100% financing from the town....that's where the battle is going to be...what other procedure/joke or you talking about...?.....fore warning you Jackass...in an effort not to have your thong all bunched up, but there will certainly be alot of "NO" votes there....and I also think your TC should prepare to stand in front of the town referendum and make your presentation.....betcha you wont....you'll stand in back of the room and let others do it....

i dont know what meeting ltdad was at, but the one i was at was a joke...just like your chief, just like your prez...so disorganized, so out of touch. i even heard that we didnt vote the right way and a letter is on its way appealing the meeting altogether which i will support. that was the first meeting ive been at in a long time and now i remember why i stopped coming around. what a joke.

Your comment is a pretty interesting one to say the least. Let me break it down a little bit...
"Just a member not a tax payer" Show me in the by laws that says a voting member in the Scotland Fire Dept must be a taxpayer in the town of Scotland. Then you can argue why you did not vote or why you are currently arguing that what was voted on was not said at the BOD or TC recommended. A vote is a vote, period, either way it goes. And now you sit here and constantly complain on what was voted on ? Re-think this. So what you are saying is that a vote for a $123,000 truck should be in 10 minutes ? yes the discussion was longer than I thought it should of been, but this was conveyed to the individual, and NOW it is the TC and BOD turn to sit down and make the presentation to the town for what the TC wants from the town. Have you heard...... presentation is everything ? There is a reason why this saying is said.... I am not trying to piss you off, nor am I trying to create more stir about this meeting, however the outcome was that we present to the town the total cost of this truck for what we need on it and see what the town says. If you decided not to vote, because you are not a taxpayer, that is your choice, however since you did not vote, and it does not count, I would say your comments should not be counted either on the matter, you had your chance to be at the meeting, nothing restricted you.... Do what is right for the fire dept as you and the TC see necessary and make the presentation to the town so they it will leave no doubt in their mind what you are asking for is the right thing for the town of scotland, not speaking in terms of tax payers.... Since you are not one.

Can we move on ? Or should we keep beating a dead horse here ? Again do whatyou feel is right for the dept, not what you think the town is going to say. You are on the committe for a reason with your knowledge.

Sorry for the book, but sometimes I really get aggrevated when I hear all of this non-sense. Remember we are here for the people, not the people's tax dollars !!

By the way windowlicker, I ignore and will not comment on stupidity, like your posting. Have respect for people that have been in this service since fire was started. No matter on how much you disagree with something, there is more of a professional way of speaking your mind .. Oh you must of not passed FF1, EMT or MRT, I think you were sleeping during those lessons. Try again, I am sure you will pass one of those one day.
