Because they sure aren't spending any of their (I should say your) money on you, the loyal memebers of the local.
All that money you all are giving them every pay period, what has it done for you.
Hell, they won't even buy you all a "Christmas Dinner". Who's the "SCROOGE" now.
Come on Ebenezer "Poore", get off some of the bucks for the members, you can't take it with you (If you catch my drift).

Why don't you ask your VP where the money the local gave to him went because I was told each battalion VP was given funds for dinner or another battalion event for each member in the battalion. As poor as you try to portray the union, the true facts seem to get in the way everytime.
Don't be a hater!!!

I just learned that each VP received $10 per member in the battalion for Christmas dinner (or the shift before).

$10.00 a person, talk about being a "SCROOGE" at Christmas time, do ya think you could have spared it, each Station on duty, should have been given at least $250.00 for a decent Christmas Dinner.
But Hell, this local isn't look'n out for it's members, unless your stationed at the "Academy".

You a funny guy, ASSHOLE. According to a friend at Central you have 45 members at Central, so $450 should be many nice dinners! Cry somewhere else.
Not that it matters, but how did the local look out for the Academy over everyone else? They didn't because we only rec'd $10 a member like every other Battalion.

Hey the $10 is better then what we get at USMA...we get $8.50 a person.
And i think its PER PERSON...so unless you have 45 guys on a shift i dont think you would be given $450 for dinner

hotflash10, Dork46 isn't to bright, and his logic is all flawed, I was saying each station on both shifts should have recieved $250.

his logic is all flawed, I was saying each station on both shifts should have recieved $250.
So let me see if I got you right, you are saying each station in the region (about 14 including NNMC) should have received $250 each per shift? That is $3500 per shift or $7000 for the entire region. And you want to do this for BOTH Thanksgiving and Christmas - $14,000!!! Wow, that is a lot of turkeys! Maybe it is just me but my dues money could be better used elsewhere for the common good - I'll pay for my meal.
And the thought of fairness comes to mind so how do you be fair to all when you have some stations with one company while others have multiple (2, 3 or 4) companies in one station? And then if I understand it correctly, some stations/shift/companies have a only a few or no union members. So how do fairly deal with that? What about those members in fire prevention?
I am not sure how the old F260 operated, but unless they operated by a Presidential decree on everything it seems to me that a proposal in the form of a motion would have to come from someone to the body or e-board. Did that happen this year?

Riddle me this batman. How does a person work overtime and is also carried on the books as being on sick leave at the same time? I quess if you are a fire inspector you can do whatever you want. If you think you are going to be a ‘paid’ union president, forget it. It isn’t going to happen. The Pres and Sec aka: batman and robin

truckdriver, Please tell us more, as always, we in Central are in the dark, when it comes to union stuff.
Oh and Dork46, they might as well, because the're not doing anything else for their members.
