Fire Damages Car Repair Shop

December 25, 2006
STAFFORD -- -- Fire heavily damaged an auto repair business on West Stafford Road early Sunday.

Firefighters were called to Hometown Motors at 106 West Stafford Road about 2:05 a.m. after a report of an explosion, said Joseph W. Comarella, deputy chief of the West Stafford Volunteer Fire Department. The first emergency personnel on the scene found the building on fire.

Firefighters were on the scene until about 7:30 a.m. The building was gutted. No injuries were reported.

Incidentals on the commercial job. Used a 3rd alarm equivalent on the job which included two truck companies (Both Aerialscopes) and three 3000 gallon tankers in addition to the engine companies. Used three 4" supply lines. Also used 1 Rescue Co. for lighting and a second Rescue Co. for air.

Nah... It's still standing Part of the building will have to come down, though.
