Yikes, should be a Nautual Citizen and have a High School Diplomia and probably an Associates Degree!!!

hy keep on lowering the standards to get below standard members on the job. Raise the bar and get better members to fill the posts.

Lowest salary in the region (qualifies for food stamps), potential of getting laid off before you finish recruit school, re-instating R-day (elimination of $5000 to $6000 built-in overtime for FF), 10% pay cut FROM lowest salary in region as furlough, horrible morale, no raises in years - none foreseeable anytime in the future, stations are falling apart (rats and roaches are normal), City considering eliminating pension, education steps and previous experience pay eliminated, no hope for improvement....
Things that make you go "hummm".
How can you raise the bar?
You are lucky to get ANYONE that isn't a convicted felon. (or about to be)
The only good thing is that there is a hiring freeze to keep more trash from coming in until June.
