Who protects Marco island

I have a friend who is lives in Marco island, I will be moving down soon and was wondering who provides service to Marco Island? Do they have there own dept? If ot who is the closet to them? Is the dept Paid, Volunteer or combo? I dont know anything about that area and would like to start looking into volunteering or getting a paid job sown that way. Thanks

Marco Island Fire Rescue Dept. IAFF local 2887 which is on the island. You can get more info @ www.cityofmarcoisland.com and click on local gov and scroll down until you see fire rescue. They are paid and Lee and Collier counties both have volunteers and multiple paid depts in and around Marco Island. You can also go to www.fsfa.com and get info about the dept around the area.
