Hi,
I'm trying to obtain information and photos detailing the history of rigs built by Sealand Fire Apparatus for an an article for Enjine! ~ Enjine! magazine (antique fire apparatus magazine published by SPAAMFAA). Sealand was located on Iranistan Avenue in Bridgeport and then moved to the Fairfield/Southport area. As far as I know they were in business in the 1930's until roughly the beginning of WWII.
Apparently the building that was the factory while they were in Bridgeport was torn down when I-95 was built, but I don't know the fate of the Southport location. I'd like to have a photo of the factory from either location. Any information, including the location of existing Sealand rigs would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve Hagy
