Firefighter/Paramedic City of Strongsville

The Civil Service Commission will conduct an examination for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Applicants must possess a valid Ohio Paramedic Certificate at time of application. Applications may be obtained at the Edward J. Latawiec Service Center, 16099 Foltz Parkway or 18600 Royalton Road between 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. beginning January 22, 2007 and returned no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2007 with a non-refundable filing fee of $25.00.

The written test will be given on February 17, 2007. Applicants must also pass the Firefighters Physical Agility Test as established by the North-Eastern Ohio Fire Chief's Association. Additional information is included in the application packet. Civil Service Commission Equal Opportunity Employer

FIREFIGHTER - City of Stow

City of Stow is accepting applications for the entry-level position of Firefighter. Must be 21 years of age on or before February 24, 2007 and possess a valid Ohio Driver's License at hire. No person shall be eligible to receive an original appointment to the City of Stow Fire Department on or after his/her 36th birthday.

Applications and position requirements may be obtained at Stow City Hall, 3760 Darrow Rd, or the Safety Services Building, 3800 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224 between 8a.m. and 4:30p.m., M-F.

Notarized application and non-refundable examination fee of $25.00 must be delivered to the Service Department Secretary located on the first floor of Stow City Hall, 3760 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio, no later than 4:30p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2007.
