NHPD/NHFD HOCKEY GAME SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY 3-25
NEW HAVEN – The tenth annual Chief’s Cup hockey game between members of New Haven’s police and fire departments will take place on Saturday, 25 March 2006, at 1:30 p.m. at Yale’s Ingalls Rink, 73 Sachem Street.
Lieutenant William White will be honored as police officer of the year and Deputy Chief William Ryan will be honored as firefighter of the year.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door. Long-sleeved t-shirts will be sold for $10 each. Proceeds from the event will benefit Detective Michael Quinn of the NHPD and Firefighter Mo Ryan of the WHFD.
The 1st Annual Elm City Championship, a game between alumni, veterans and retirees of the departments, begins at 12:15 p.m. and there will be an open skate following the game, along with music, food and drinks.
