The NOVA departments just recieved a number of these units through a COG purchase. Contact any of the larger departments and ask for their Apparatus Division or Section. They should be able to provide the spec sheets to you without issue. You may even be able to purchase off their contract and save some $$$, depending upon where you are located... (Fairfax County can be reached at 703-246-2126...Ask for the Apparatus Section.) Good luck with your purchase.

In the county just to the east, they are big on Light & Salvage units, and then a seperate Air Truck.
I would think that by combing all 3 you would get more bang for your buck.
If possible I would suggest a custom chassis and a small walk in rescue style body. The walk in part wouldn't be really big just enough room for one or two guys to fill air bottles. You really wouldn't need it to be a walk in, but it would be nice to keep the guys filling bottle out of the weather. a compressor would be nice too, that way you wouldn't have to worry about running out of air in your cascade system
You would obviously need Lights and a shit load of them I would say 2 brow lights, 2 rear lights, one on each side of the cab and 2 on each side of the body, don't for get 2 to 3 light towers (6 head minimum) All halogen of course. If your calling it alight truck then when you shouw up on scene you want to bring the sun
The other reason for the rescue body would be the salvage equipment, Salvage masers (survive airs back pack verson of a shop vac for water) rolls of plastic (home depot or lowes) it easier than tarps and you don't have to worry about going back to get them, some room for plywood too to board up a few trash pumps maybe.
Now I'm no engineer but I would guess that you can get all of this on a rig 30 to 35 feet long. Maybe less. The Custom cab should seat at least 6. This gives you the people to cover all the jobs that your multi purpous unit can do.
You can get a really bad ass support unit if you take your time and put some serious thought into what you want, what you want it to do and where your going to place equipment. TAKE YOUR TIME. The extra month or two you take to make sure you got it right will be worth it. Then when it comes to delivery, since it will be custom TAKE YOUR TIME GOING OVER IT. Don't just walk in and make sure the woo woo's work. Go over it from front to back and make sure it is what you want.
Good luck and if you have anymore questions feel free to PM Me
