I am looking at the open firefighter position at the Marine Corp Base in Quantico and was hoping to get some information. My first questions are: what are the work/shift schedules (normally and with overtime), how many runs do you typically get (base and mutual aid) and what are they (EMS, fire duty, MVC/pinn jobs ect.) , what type of assignments does a firefighter typically get and how does the pay/ overtime work? Also, how do transfers work? Can/do you transfer between stations or do you stay at one station for your career?

I know there is a lot of problems with closings and under staffing and people are being forced into a lot of overtime and you guys are not in Quantico. But how does that work and is that effecting the Quantico station?

DON"T GO TO WORK FOR THE NAVY !!!! If you do go to a small base with only 1 engine company. You cannot go any lower than that.
