You can't get away from the ambulance that easy!

I'm not sure where the town is that you're talking about, but check out www.floridafirejobs.org They are the 'testing authority' (don't know what else to call it) for about 12 fire departments in and around Fort Myers. I saw they have a test coming up, maybe in April.

Good luck.

Oh, and I also think that Lee County runs a seperate EMS transport agency!

I never run from the ambulance, just trying to investigate the possibility of some fun in the sun before I turn 49.Thanks for the information brother. Newport Ritchie is about 25 miles north of Tampa.

Brother Slevin.....you sure you want to go to Florida to do the job? Its different in the south my friend, they do not to the job safelysince manning requirments are seldom to never followed, the job there is EMS with a a side dish of firefighting. The comradierie is nothing like here...i point you in the direction of the St Petersburg site, their mentality speaks volumns. Oh I cant blame you for wanting sun time, but is it worth risking your life to work within a system that is not progressive??
