What an effen concept. Let's see... all the buildings are there, the infrastructure is there, the current EMS system is about to implode and collapse on itself thereby creating a new black hole that will suck our entire universe in and end life as we know it. We better form a committee first to see if we really do need to re-open the General...

For years many people have testified before the city council that the EMS issue needed to be addressed. This is no "new" issue to them. But who's going to say to them "hold up, you knew all along about this to". I've got to give it to ol' Phil Mendelson though. In an election year what else could an elected official ask for but an easy sucker to play than Chief Thompson. All he had to do was keep putting Thompson and his crew in front of the Judiciary committee. They did all the work for him.

Never a truer statement made on how this department sums thing up!

They will committee you to death because that will be the answer they give you until you give up.

"We know there is a problem, and we have the committee looking into it."
