Last night at our regular meeting of the Forestville VFD membership, We voted to donate $500.00 to the St. Baldricks Child Cancer Research Foundation. ( The name St. Baldricks comes from the derivitives of "bald" and St. Patrick) The vote was unanamous, After the vote was approved, I challenged the membership to donate as much as each one of them could afford to this wonderful cause. I offer the same challenge to the rest of the fire/ems community. Please search your heart and pledge to donate individually and also departmentally to this cause. Information can be obtained by contacting Odie 23 on this watchdesk. The bottom line here is he, along with several members of the foundation, is going to shave his head on Saturday 10 March to try to achieve the maximum donation possible. He has been in this program for three years, The foundation since it's inception, has raised over 20 million dollars for child cancer research.PLEASE I implore you. Get your departments to at least match our donation!! Thank you! Thank you!!
