I have searched and can't find any answer or a link to The Watch Desk's privacy policy. Do you have one? The email associated with this board has never ever been used for anyting else. I checked it the other day and have an inbox full of spam from the American Red Cross. WTFOver?

We don't sell or use the email address used for registration, they are used to confirm that the person posting has a legitimate and trackable way of being reached.

Privacy in general is limited by our liability, don't post anything you wouldn't sign your name to. At some point it could come back to haunt you.

That still does not explain how the American Red Cross is sending me spam. This email has never been displayed anywhere on these forums (at least not that I have been able to tell).

Anyone could be affected by a virus or whatever that steals another address and uses that as the FROM address on email coming to you.

If a computer that you had sent an email to some time in the past has Am Red X addresses on it, that PC could easily be sending you redirected spam masquerading as the ARC address.
