I can't believe an engine that had a ladder put on it can win that award. Next someone will buy an ambo and put a pump on it and call it a engine.
What do you think mtfd15?

Well for what it worth and as near as I can tell I think that you guys are talking about the Tri-State show. I havent been to one in a few years and was able to attend this year. I did notice that there were alot of new trucks there. If your talking about the fact that Moosup took best appearing ladder, you have to admit it was a nice truck and the membership there put alot of time and pride into it.
25truck: I saw your tower there and I have to say that its a very nice rig, but it would appear that you guys just drove it out of the bay and to the show. Did you guys even wash it? The windshield was cracked. Don't you guys take pride in your truck? I mean it is new. Maybe if you guys put some effort into it you might get somewhere.
I have to say that I talked to a few of your guys and it seems that there were only one or two people there that knew anything about the truck the rest didnt know anything other then it was a tower.
To the Moosup guys: NICE JOB!

Its a fire truck you dumb shit! I guess shows and parades are more important? To me it shows pride when your apparatus is damaged trying to put someones house out.
I don't like the concept but L-194 is nice!

Okay I've read enough from "bucketmuppet". For those of you that don't know and I think he's got to be the only one that doesn't. Tower 25 was damaged at a house fire not a week before the show. Several members spent many hours trying to get the soot stains off the white paint and ladder.
As for not having pride....well lets just say that if they didnt the truck would have gone to the show brown over red.
The cracked windshield.....well I don't know a firehouse or a fleet garage that has spares laying around, things like that take time to order and ship. The truck has stayed inservice and still is responding to alarms.
If "Mr. Muppet" would like to come down and get a personal tour of the truck just send me a PM.
Enough said!

According to the DMV, a cracked winshield is a reason to not be in service..... Aren't you guys a NFPA station ?
