New Gear ?????

Someone has something to say (SEE BELOW).....

Can someone please help guide this individual ?? I did not know I was chief all of a sudden ?? But to answer a few questions.... Under 18 ? Has not earned "new" gear ? Needs new gear for what ? Older gear would not be good enough ? oHhhh. Sorry, someone please help....I guess just asking me in person would have been too much for him to endure the thruth......Oh well.... I am just a FF IN TRAINING !!!

Oh by the way.... Please note: LTDAD just buying new gear to "please" people.

boy you seem to have a big problem with newer people getting gear, sorry they arent quite 18 but i'm pretty sure that Lt Dad wast just buying the new gear to please people he looked at many different people and chose the ones who would most benefit the dept., i know for a fact that i am more qualified than at least one person on that list. i dont see why you always have to harass everyone about everything, you speak about a five yr, plan yet you cant see 5 months into the future when i become 18 and have the new gear instead of my 30 yr old gear. if you really have an issue about it than why dont you ask me what my opinion is on it before you go and attack both Lt. Dad and one of the older much more experienced memebers

Again..the 20 sets are via the federal grant which is a good thing for the department. "THE 3 CHIEFS"...together came up with an original list and a couple of cannidates decided not receiving gear. So "WE" picked 2 others to fill the spots....dont like it tough shit...replace us...or because in the next years budget we got to buy 3-4 more and the following year 3-4 more....step right up and let us know who we missed.... or better yet VOTE on 6/4/07 who can do better.....

I believe you are not an idiot but you may want to let your current department do what they always have (for now). you may not agree with it but it looks like you will not be able to change the way things are going. remember when you joined your first dept, they SHOULD of told you "keep you mouth closed, ears open, and watch." After a couple of years you will see how to change things the right way without causing hate & discontent. I'm sorry if you think I'm writing out of school. just trying to help! :cool:

You guys its not nice to air your departments dirty laundry out for everyone in the world to read. How do you think the town fathers or the taxpayers would feel if they read all of your posts.

I can understand that you are all frustrated but do it at the firehouse and not on the outside where other people who don't know about the internal problems in your department could possibly read about them.

I couldn't agree more. You guys and your constant whining! If you don't run enough calls to keep yourselves occupied, find another hobby to fill all this down time you have. Start with cleaning up your dump of a fire station.

I've also heard the rumor that 16 has put in for a station number change to 33 at the request of their chief. Also heard orange and brown will be replacing blue and red on the trucks? Any truth to this rumor?
