The Kent and Queen Anne’s Rescue Squad is currently accepting applications for the full time position of Emergency Response Technician.
Job Description: Duties include, but are not limited to Response to Emergency calls, operations of emergency vehicles, administration of Basic Life Support care, operation of extrication and technical rescue equipment, light janitorial and landscaping work, data entry and other duties as assigned.
About the Department: The K&QARS is an all-volunteer non-profit organization located in Chestertown, Kent County, Maryland. The department responds to over 1500 calls for service per year. The department provides Emergency Medical, Rescue and Water emergency response, as well as supportive rolls as fire and hazardous materials incidents. The department operates 3 ALS equipped ambulances, 1 medium duty rescue, 2 boats, dive team and numerous other support vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be 21 years of age, possess current Maryland EMT-B certification with a minimum 1 year experience, valid Maryland class B CDL license( or the ability to obtain within six months of employment), MFRI Rescue Technician, Hazmat Operations, knowledge of computers and must be physically able to perform all of the above listed duties. All successful applicants will be required to submit to drug/alcohol testing as well as a criminal background check.
Salary/Benefits: Salary of , 40 hour work week, Health insurance, retirement plan, paid vacation and major holidays off with pay.
