Does anyone know a website or how to go about finding out when jobs are posted at the Electric Boat FD in Groton?
Do they advertise on a specific website or one of the local newspapers?
Also looking for info about the dept if any knows anything.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

That's good to know, thanks for the heads up. Do you know what the application requirements are/will be? Also do you know if they get a lot of applicants?
Thanks.

Got word that they might be hiring one soon. Not sure when or if it someone they already have lined up. if you are interested in a job there, it might not hurt to stop in their station. It is right on Eastern Point Rd. Good bunch of guys

People.... what is going on with this county??? No one can get a f***in break! I applied at Mohegan Tribe, can't get an interview. Now you people say they know who they are hiring at EBFD and the job hasn't even been posted yet. Was told by others that they have the same opinion about hiring practicies when I took the Groton test on Saturday.
Soooooooooooooo how DOES one get a job in this county when it seems departments already have their minds made up way before interviews???????

They only had 2 people with the quals. I heard they were both from central village.

Central Village, isn't that where them guys like to "play" that Kentland Department in Maryland? Was reading something about that in the Windam County threads. Does that mean EB will be parking on supply lines and fist fighting to see who gets the first water on the fire?

They did interviews, and they hired 1.
No point in crying over water under the bridge. Groton has all small departments and it has been this way for years. As far as both Indian casinos they can pretty much do what they want. Your best bet is to go talk to people on the inside of the departments you want to get on and find out what would make you a better candidate. Whining on here will not accomplish anything. As for me I moved out of Groton in 1994 after going through what many of you are complaining about to pursue other avenues...while I miss home I don't regret it.
