how often does FEMA or DHS open a hiring pool for mt weather? thanks

It is like any other government department. They only open positions as needed. We have some stuff going on in the promotion department here in the near future, so that may produce some openings. Not sure if it will be before or after the first of the year. Just keep checking. You can go to www.fema.gov, click "About Us" on the upper right and then click "Employment Opportunities" on the left. Once you are on that page you can click on “Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center – VA.” They seem to post there a day or two before they hit USA Jobs. If you need any additional info, PM me.
