Nice site. I could only wish my local chapter site was half as nice.

Does anyone know what is going on with the Central Maryland Fools?? They haven't updated their website since October. We were looking for their St. Patty's day party.

Does anyone know what is going on with the Central Maryland Fools?? They haven't updated their website since October. We were looking for their St. Patty's day party.

The active guys who did the events (all 2-3 of them) stepped down because no one else was stepping up and it was just becoming too much to handle for the same guys doing it all. We have 100 plus members, but unfortunately like many organizations few participated in the last year.....alot of people just wanted the wallet card.

Last years party was fun and its a shame that it won't happen again this year. It was a good core group of guys. I for one would attend if someone new took the lead, but at the last meeting only 3 people showed so its not looking good.

Be safe,
Tim

I am looking to do some web sites for fire departments. I have 5+ years of experience and promise better web sites then those other guys, at better prices.

Roofgoof, thanks for the info. We came up from Richmond last year and it was a "fun time had by all". Sorry there won't be another. It's a shame more people aren't active. But it is like that in a lot of groups. You get the same guys having to do everything and the rest just complain that you do everything but don't step up to the plate.

I know exactly what the brothers up in Maryland are going through...we seem to get most of the EBoard and maybe 3 or 4 others to any type of meeting...our events draw a decent crowd, but our 'bashes' don't draw the membership out no matter what...even when we (the chapter) pay for the beer...I have been up to the Brotherhood Bash the Central Maryland Fools host during the Firehous Expo and they are awesome...we all need to ban together to help each other out when needed, even from a distance...I pledge, and challenge all of you brother Fools (and your chapter members) to make sure we ALL help them out and make sure their yearly bash happens at the Expo in mid-July...post here with any ideas...remember why we all joined Fools in the first place?

Visit our chapter's site at www.northernvirgininafools.com (http://www.northernvirginiafools.com)to sign up for our spring training weekend on April 12 & 13...

Stay safe...FTM-PTB...
