For those in W Pa it may be passing as i post, but for Central PA those Mtns we have been u and us now threaten a Flood Alert.. thru Sunday the 10th NOAA has issued the warning for flooding for low areas of the mighty Susquehanna and its tributaries for a crest at HARRISBURG OF 16.2 FEET.

17 FEET IS OFFICAL FLOOD STAGE, but low areas are in jepordy from 13 feet up wards....the villages of Shipoke (south of city) and West Fairview on the west shore are in danger of basement or more flooding as crest rises. The major creeks involved are Paxton Creek running n/s behind Cameron st in the city and the Yellow breeches and Conodogunet in Cumberland Co..other creeks like the Sherman in Perry Co and Powel creek ,Stoney creek ,and Swtara Creek are vulnerable in rest of Dauphin Co....

As of Midnite, overnite river stage at Hbg,Pa...had begun to receed.. the offical crest was 14.28 feet and at 5a was reported at 13.76 feet and while out today i read the closest gauge at under 13.5 feet at 1p... thus we have dodged the bullet for now.. spring is not over yet as such we must be diligent in our respect for the river... with the incident in N HBG yesterday being SOAP.. thus a day off for the HACC pack and PSECU credit union but the FARM SHOW was open for business..from Maclay st entrance..
