The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has openings in the ARFF Department for Fire Fighter/EMTs and Fire Fighter/Paramedics.
Starting Salary - $36,286 FF/EMT - $41,728 FF/Paramedic. After 12 months $41,204FF/EMT (Includes$3,100 State Incentive) - $46,919 FF/Paramedic (Includes$3,100 State Incentive)
Applicants Must Possess: 400 certifiable hours that are equal to or exceed the required hours in each category as a paid professional fire fighter in the State of Kentucky (Note: if all hours are met with the exception of the six hours of Aircraft Rescue your application will still be accepted) or military training of the equivalent; 12th grade skills in reading, spelling, written and oral communications; a valid operators license; willingness to work rotating shifts; ability to follow orders and directives correctly; ability and willingness to learn Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting policies, procedures, principles and related laws; ability to satisfactorily complete a psychological assessment; ability to satisfactorily complete a physical agility assessment; ability to satisfactorily complete an oral interview process including a written exam.
Applicants Must Be: 18 years of age, capable of successfully completing Kentucky EMT certification within one year from date of hire, free from drug dependency. To be considered: Completed application forms and a Kentucky certifiable hours worksheet must be received (or postmarked) no later than February 15, 2008.
