Does anyone know of any bases or Federal facilities that use a physical agility test?

They all require a stamina and agility test, but the actual test varies.

Is there anywhere where I can find what the tests are? I'm just looking for things to start a baseline and something to measure the personnel for improvement if needed.

They ALL require what??? XChief, which Federal Government do you work for? I have only worked at one DOD (Army) department (Ft. Rucker, AL) that required civilians to take an agility test. I guess if you count the duck walk and bend and reach during the fly by night “physical” they provide as an agility test that statement could be true. The other federal departments I call former places of employment required none. I can speak for those Opie..hope that helps a little.
Look at NFPA 1583. The physical ability/agility testing being implemented in DOD is supposed to follow that standard. A few Army posts I know are using or will be using 1583. We have not implemented it yet, but will be in the near future. For you non management types make sure that the union negotiates with management on the implementation as this is NOT supposed to be punitive.

I work for the Navy FedFire and you are correct, it is an entity itself, not necessary akin to anything resembling a real Fire Dept.

DoD has been trying for over 20 years to establish a physical fitness standard and much to their vein NOTHING has ever made it to fruision. Let me repeat NOTHING has made it. Management wants punitive results as part of their resolve but labor says pack sand in your ass. Also NFPA anything equates to "NO FUCKIN PRACTICAL APPLICATION". Once again everyone claims they want to be NFPA compliant but most are unattainable. Just like a 5 plunger hero who states his department is 1500 compliant. Puff puff give jackass there are only about 5 departments in the entire USA that can claim 1500 compliance. Make no mistake DoD can't afford to be 1500 or for that matter anything NFPA compliant.

Hey opie they can't even pay you fuckers correctly and allow you to be represented by a firefighters union but want to worry who can do sit ups or run 5 miles. By the way except when we had horses I don't think anyone has ever run 5 miles to a fire (except gump).

When I worked at a certain federal facility on Marylands Upper Western Shore(left 8/05) the chief there had us doing a 10 station rotating "physical evaluation" every 6 months. A few of us tried at the time to get the union to find out more information on the whole thing- who, what, when, where, why....But for some reason the Union Pres at the time wouldnt challenge the fire chief on it. Firefighters were basically forced to do the test....Supervisors were scared shitless when a few of us refused to do the test without answers to our questions.
Cheefy may have had good intentions, but as we all know, many Fed Chiefs have more "dark" intentions than good ones. All I wanted were answers to several questions that I had, in writing, with the Chief's signature. I filed a ULP as an individual based on the union's failure to bring this up for I & I bargaining.
I dropped it off at the main station on my way home from work on a compressed workweek friday- Chief was off......I had the A/C sign a note indicating that he accepted my package for the Fire Chief- I had time limitations (I think I gave 45 days for a reply before I indicated I would bump the ULP up to the Chief's supervisor). I understand that there was a small nuclear explosion in the chief's office when he read it and then found out that I had the A/C sign for it. I posed my questions, and asked for answers, again, in writing with the Chief's signature.
Never did get an answer as I found new employment about 3 weeks later, and left Uncle Sam and havn't looked back. I do understand that one member of the Dept. received a pretty severe injury as a result of the testing, and was out of work for quite some time, and may even have to go out permanent IOD.
