You should have already heard that November 24, 2008 is the deadline to become ANSI/ISEA compliant with traffic vests for emergency responders as per Federal Rule 23 CFR 634. If you are unaware I have posted some information and helpful links at the end of this post.
Well I am glad to announce we have partnered with Iron Horse Safety Specialties and have become a distributor of their products. Iron Horse Safety Specialties has been a leading manufacturer of traffic vests, safety garments, and warning flags based in Dallas Texas since 1981.
The McKinney Fire vest manufactured by Iron Horse Safety was developed by with input and advise from McKinney Fire Department Battalion Chief/Fire Training Officer, Ron Moore. Many in fire and rescue know Mr. Moore for his University of Extrication series on Firehouse.com. BC Moore has also authored numerous other articles on highway incident safety.
