Can anyone shed some light on the new HazMat Team the Capitol Police have? Any info?

How do they work, what do they do, etc...

Thanks!

I was told that a large group of civilian medics went over to the USCP Haz Mat Team. Can anyone tell me about the team?

But those doughnut eaters such as Capitol PD n MPD should stick to what they profess to do best NOTHING but getting directions to the closest "Dunkin Dognut joint"...

If all these agencies would do what there mission statements define they wouldn't have time to attempt to do all of this other bullshit! But hell who cares I just like stiring the POT with my teflon spoon!!

As for a certain Capitol Hill PD chief, tell me I am lying he is still living in the shadow Ramsey.

Just like Plaugher couldn't get people to say the Pentagon was in Arlington no matter how much he whined, cried, kicked or screamed and left DCFD outta of the people who actually put the fire out heheheheehe had to dredge up old stuff too!! hhhmmm anything or anyone else I can tweak today.

It should also be noted that the U.S. Capitol Police Hazardous Materials Response Team is a civilian unit and not law enforcement officers. Copper was right...Starbucks is down the street.

Can't we all just play well together?

I have to give my 2 cents worth on this, the USCP Haz Mat unit is Civilian with most of them coming from DCFD EMS go figure, as a police officer with the USCP and a EX member (assigned) of the haz-mat unit I had to say that. and Chief Gainer didnt organize it, it was from Congress themselves. Personally I would much rather have DCFD Haz Mat there. I could ramble on and on about this unit but I will keep my comments to myself. Just remember this the grass isnt always greener on the other side. nuff said on this subject.

Actually, if you really were a "Police Officer", especially a former member of the USCP/HMRT, you would know that only 3 former DCFD Paramedics are currently employed by the USCP out of a total of 15 civilian HazMat Technicians.

By the way....the grass is greener! My worst day with the USCP/HMRT is still 110% better than my best day with DCFD/EMS! :)

USCPHMRT,

I am not gonna get in a pissing match with you. I just stated how I felt about the HMRT. nothing personal, there are a "few" and I mean a few good guys there but most can kiss my butt.
