On October 4th 2008 the Easton VFD will be holding our 200th Anniversary Muster at the Henry H. Purdy fire station on Auroua Park Drive. Beginning at 10 am it will feature new and Antique fire apparatus from around the region as well as friendly competition between area fire companies. First water and bracket pumping compettitions between the area engineers will also be held. The fire fighter competitions will be the bucket brigade, fire truck tug and a modified midnight alarm. Food will be provided by the Easton Amish Farmers market throughout the day and there will also be childrens events. email me @ slipknot@goeaston.net if your department wishes to participate. You need at least 5-7 members for your teams and trophies will be awarded for new apparatus to hand drawn. We will also be giving away the Mustang that afternoon.
